“With none of his other works, not even with Nabucco, did Verdi touch his audience’s heart so quickly.” With a new staging by Elisabetta Courir, the Verdi Festival 2016 concludes the tribute to Verdi with the “popular trilogy”, which launched in 2014 with La Traviata and continued in the 2015 edition with Rigoletto. The Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini and Chorus of the Teatro Regio di Parma directed by Massimo Zanetti, immerse the audience in the plot with the Conte di Luna, Leonora, Azucena and Manrico, respectively interpreted by George Petean, Dinara Alieva, Enkelejda Shkosa and Murat Karahan, where the night is silent, where the pyre burns.
The performances take place on October 21, 23, 27 and 30.
