Maestro Zanetti conducts the Bruckner Orchestra Linz in Verdi’s Messa da Requiem at the Brucknerhaus Linz. The soloists are Dinara Alieva, Maria Ostroukhova, Zoran Todorovich and
Gleb Peryazev.

Verdi’s Requiem was first performed in 1874 and goes from the horrors of the Last Judgment in “Dies irae” to a fervent request for salvation in “Libera me”. The work was hardly performed in the context of the liturgy and is now performed mostly in concert form.
