La Traviata in Oslo

Maestro Zanetti conducts La Traviata at the Norske Opera & Ballet

For 170 years, La Traviata has celebrated the ‘fallen woman’ – while also showing who she really is when the party ends. With performances from December 29 until January 17, Maestro Zanetti leads this timeless opera at the Norske Opera & Ballet.
The production by Rodula Gaitanou sets the action in 1925, Paris, in the Golden Age of Art Deco.

The cast is lead by Vuvu Mpofu and Lina Johnson as Violetta Valéry, joined by Sandra Bendrik and Anne-Marie Andersen as Annina, Matteo Desole and Bror Magnus Tødenes as Alfredo Germont, Yngve Søberg and Audun Iversen as Giorgio Germont, and Laura Mayer and Margaret Newcomb as Flora.
